2009 Refuge Giving Tree is a Success
Landmark Celebrates 20 Years of Hosting Refuge
Giving Tree.
Each Christmas for the past 20 years, Landmark
customers and employees have generously provided holiday cheer through
gifts for the children of The Refuge Network. Since 1986, their mission
has been to bring an end to domestic violence—“No one deserves to be
abused.”
The Giving Tree is set up in our lobby and
decorated with an ornament containing information about a child.
Customers and employees chose an ornament and shop for appropriate
gifts. This year, nearly 60 children received the blessing of caring
from our community through the Giving Tree project.

Landmark Community Bank also participates with Ramsey Youth First,
Community of Pride, which provides stars with gift suggestions for
children ages 10 through 17, those that often get left out at Christmas.
According to the staff at Youth First, sometimes this may be the only
gift these kids receive.
Landmark's customers as well as employees have enjoyed the special
feeling of Christmas with regard to Ramsey Youth First. Customers
actually ask when the "stars" will be on the tree. Some will take 2, 3,
or 4 stars, and when they bring in the gifts, they check to make sure no
one is left on the tree. |
